This was not nice reading...

Maybe I shouldn't post this, as it is not exactly what us fans want to read about our heros, and certainly awful for us Lukeaholics. So concider yourself warned; if you don't want to read bad stuff about EotS, and Luke in particular, don't click on the link.

I'm a bit sorry that I read it, but on the other hand - if I'll ever go to an EotS or TJS concert (and I still will if I get a chance!), I won't get disappointed because I'll be expecting the worst...

That made me snicker (Staci, I guess that's the horslikelaughter? :-P). But seriously girls, that's the oppinion of three or four people. It's always up to your own expectations, and I remember a few people being happy about the performance. Still I can't help but agree at least a tiny bit. I haven't been there, but I too thought if a lot of costumes and dancers are everything. From what I have gathered, it was all a bit too much for my taste, costumewise, the dancers, the light show, but that's just me (and I am speaking of only one song, I prefer if there is some big ado, focus on one thing). If Luke really didnt talk at all, no hello, no goodbye, it really sucks, hand on your heart. But I also know people tend to exaggerate or look for confirmation of what they think themselves, so maybe the author interpreted too much into other peoples faces. Who knows. I wouldn't let this article put me down.....

You are of course right, but still... I tend to take it a bit too personally when someone says something bad about someone or something I love. :-) Then I overreact and post links like this and stuff...

Well, guess I'll have to make up my own mind, and I really hope I'll get the chance. Even though the EotS shows look like they're a bit "over the top", I think I would enjoy the colours and that fantasyworldlike stuff that goes on on stage. And I also hope that I'll get a chance to see TSJ live one day, not only because I could stare at Luke for hours, but I really like the music.

Well, I'm over that horrible blog now. Yes. *shaking it off me*

Yes, Hanne, I have to agree with Evelyn... You cannot, and should not, go by just what a few people say... After all, I don't know about in Norway, but here in the UK we say 'one man's meat is another man's poison', meaning what one person might like, another may not - I'm sure you must have a term for it in your country too...

There are plenty of people out there who only want to slag other people off if things don't live up to their expectations, so don't take it to heart too much otherwise it will make you sad and certainly don't let these people put you of Luke or his wonderful music with EOTS and TSJ... Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, when I go and see a concert I go for the music, don't you, not for the chat... Ok, maybe Luke could have interacted with the audience a bit more than he did, but perhaps that is just not his way, and we shouldn't damn him for that.

And besides, they don't love Luke like we do, do they.....? :P

Staci xx

there's actually a very similar (den enes bröd, den andres död - one man's bread, another one's dead), i've never interpreted it into the meaning of preferences...

Actually Tiea, I don't think they mean the same. I've been thinking about it, and the closest I can come is "smaken är som baken - delad" (pardon my Swedish), which means something like "the taste is like the arse - divided" (pardon my language again...).

EDITED: I just read your post again, more thoroughly, and you say that it doesn't mean the same. *sigh* OK, I'll have a beer now. Maybe that will enhance my ability to read...

:) i originally wrote "we've got a similar line of words but with a completely different meaning", and then given it a thought, i realized it's perhaps just a slicing to the one extreme of a similar meaning, ending up with thinking "omg, us swedes being lutherians working moralists with no humour" and wrote something else...

your swedish is perfect. (or one of the halfs, whichever you prefer... :) ) just dont try to pronounce y, and i'll be fine... ;)

i'll have a huge cup of tea...
